Volkswagen officials has announced that the new 2009 Volkswagen Golf will be launched in Europe in October.Overall, Volkswagen has changed the external look slightly like the side mirrors which are aerodynamically designed to get less dirty and reduce wind noise and so on.

Internally, Volkswagen has replaced the Automatic option with Dual Clutched DSG [Direct-Shift-Gearbox ] transmission.and it will be either 6 or 7 speed unit.The notable changes includes the higher fuel effieciency which everyone was expecting after the new VW Jetta TDI.The new Volkswagen Golf is having supercharged or turbocharged Petrol [TSI] or  diesel [ DSI ] engine which improves its mileage up to  52mpg.

Yamaha unveiled their Japan only [ Nope , No Export ] electric bike The PAS Brace with a gear assistance system which will help you adopt to the optimal gear position.The bike will be 8 geared and will be available in Black, Red or White at a price tag of $1,150.

Yamaha has named their patented electric assistance system as S.P.E.C.8 mechanism which recognizes the change in the speed of the bike and the gear in which the rider is riding it and automatically adjusts the electric power to the motor thus saving the battery life, it runs on a 4Ah 26V Li-ion battery pack.

If the bike runs faster than 15km/hr, the auxiliary power unit starts to reduce its output, depending on which gear is currently put on. If the bike reaches a speed of 24km/hr or faster, electric assistance will be stopped. Owners can choose between 3 modes: automatic, “power” and “auto-eco plus”.The automatic mode will have a range up to 39 km while the power mode has 23km and auto-eco plus has 61km range.The bike weighs around 22 kg .

So those of you who want to ride bike instead of burning the fuel [ along with your wallet ],can opt to spend this one time $1150 price tag and own their high end advanced electric bike.Yamaha is expecting to sell around 2500 units of these.And the PAS Brace will be available by August 8 , only in Japan.

Ford wants to improve the environment , They unveiled their latest work on the Ford Fiesta with improved engine [ 1.6 Litre Turbo Diesel ] at the British International Auto Show .This  fuel efficient version is named as Fiesta Econetic .Its having couple of added features like Optimum Shift Indicator , Low Suspensions ,Rear air deflectors and low resistance tires.

The Emissions from the Ford fiesta econetic is also very low at 98 gm/ kilometer.Ford is also working on the Econetic versions of Focus and Mondeo.
