Dell is getting ready to unveil the new energy efficient small form factor PC , The Dell Studio Hybrid.Dell reports that its an environmentally friendly PC made from recycled materials only and It’s also fully recyclable.
Dell Studio Hybrid is extremely small at 7.08”(height) x 8.26”(depth) x 2.75”(width) , [ as small as a External Drive ] but it has Intel Core 2 Duo with 4 GB of internal memory.Some of the notable features includes it’s high energy efficiency [ It uses less than 70 % of the power used by a typical small form factor PC ] & Is Energy Star 4.0 certified .It’s available in seven colours as of now.
Specifications :
- Memory : 4 GB
- Processor : Intel Core 2 Duo
- Storage : 320GB HDD
- Connectivity : Wi-Fi
- Price : $599 [ with Display ] and $499 [ Without Display].
Price in India : expected at around 25,000 Rs .

Lenovo sure is moving closer to the greeniness that has started affecting the PC industry for sometime now.The upcoming ThinkCentre A61e runs on hybrid power , it has an optional solar panel for powering it.
Also the total power consumption of this ThinkCentre A61e is only around that of three CFL lamps ie , around 85 Watts.The device boasts of EPEAT Gold status , and is well above the Energy Star 4.0 specifications.

Dell describes it as “Worlds most manageable , energy efficient commercial desktop ever”.The new Dell OptiPlex 755 series comes out with an Energy Star rating 4.0 and Electronic Products Environmental Assessment Tool rating “Gold”.
Specifications of Dell Optiplex 755 isn’t that compromising on performance with the Processor being an Intel Core 2 Duo with vPro technology and 8 GB of RAM along with graphics by 256 MB ATi Radeon HD 2400 .
