BenQ has announced that their latest Mobile Internet Device a.k.a MID ,BenQ Aries2 is ready to be launched in the Europe within couple of weeks.The company’s Free Surf UI, which allows users to shake the device to minimize and align active windows, impressed the judges with its “unprecedented operation experience of mobile Internet and complete removal of consumers’ usage barriers in handheld devices.”

Externally the device is surely eye catchy with 4.8 inch WXGA display with 800 x 600 resolution .The device is powered by Intel Atom 800 Mhz with 512KB Cache and has 512MB RAM and 4GB SSD storage.The extra features supported by it includes wireless connectivity through WLAN 802.11b/g , Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR and it supported HSDPA networks.

The price of the BenQ Aries2 is not yet known.

Just a month after Sony’s last sale of VAIO UX series of UMPC’s , Sony has announced re-awakening of the series with a lot of “serious” upgrades..The new members in the VAIO UX series are UX72 , UX92S and UX92NS.

Intel Core 2 Solo CPU’s which are 64 Bit [ U2200 - 1.2 GHz and U2100 - 1.06 GHz ] are also offered along with 32 bit Celeron processor.Another option being provided by Sony is of the Hard Drive, you can now opt a 64 GB NAND SSD drive instead of the good-old 40 GB HDD.Plus its going to be shipped with Windows Vista edition.

BlackBerry will be announcing their latest upgrade to the BIS, BIS 2.4 probably today.The upgrade features numerous improvements like support for vCard , MP3 , PDF and RTF attachments.Other features includes the ability to login into your Blackberry account without a username and password, this works by using the identification of product.

Let me resume my work after 1 week of absence with this spectacular Walkman phone from Sony, I am a fan of Walkman series from Sony and its so exciting to know that they are releasing a Walkman phone with [tag]Symbian[/tag] [tag]UIQ[/tag] OS.

The new going-to-be-released-in-Q4-2007 Sony W960i phone has some interesting features like :

• Animated Walkman visualizations.
• Symbian UIQ OS.
• Its designed elegantly , Sony has paid enough attention to it in making it look like a normal cellphone though its a smartphone

Samsung has updated its Q1 series of Ultra Mobile PC range [tag]UMPC[/tag].The updated members are Q1U-SSDXP, Q1U-ELXP and the Q1U-XP , all of them running on Windows XP Tablet PC Edition.Samsung has improved the display of thee U1 series and improved battery life.

The Q1U-SSDXP is the SSD storage option of Q1 with 32 GB SSD backing the storage department.

Asus released a new series of UMPC called Eee.The Eee stands for Easy to work , easy to learn and easy to play.The main feature about the Eee series is that the cheapest in the family comes at mere $200.

Asus Eee is rumored to be having a 7 inch display and a 4GB flash based hard drive and RAM of 512MB.Another feature that’s present is WiFi.
