<p>The new 701 models will be available in two colours&nbsp; : white&nbsp; and black matte finish &amp; they will be bearing the Eee badge&nbsp; instead of the Asus badge. The only real difference we can tell from the slides in terms of design is the button below the track pad is not a clear left and right instead of the one long button that was on the original 701. The Price tag of the 7 inch series is expected to go down below the current price tag of $399.</p>

<p>The Intel Core 2 Extreme Edition Processor is designed on the 45 nm architecture while the current fastest Extreme processor is based on 65 nm architecture.Intel is promising a certain performance increase than the baseline processor.Intel has optimised performance with HD related media on this processor by using Intel® HD Boost technology.</p>
<p>The X9000 is having a 6 MB shared L2 Cache and is running its FSB at 800 MHz.</p>
