Details about the latest Eee PC Laptops got leaked , It appears that Asus is trying to reawake their original Eee 701 PC ,which guaranteed small form factor computing at lower price.Newer members are Eee 01SD, 701SD (30GB) and 701SD (4GB).There are couple of other series like :[ PRO Fashion Series ] 1000HV , 1002SA,1002HA and T101  & [Ultimate Series ] S101 and S91.

The new 701 models will be available in two colours  : white  and black matte finish & they will be bearing the Eee badge  instead of the Asus badge. The only real difference we can tell from the slides in terms of design is the button below the track pad is not a clear left and right instead of the one long button that was on the original 701. The Price tag of the 7 inch series is expected to go down below the current price tag of $399.

Dell is updating their XPS series with the newest processor range from Intel ,Intel Penryn.The 45 nm  processors will be available for customizations on the Dell site soon.Dell is moving towards Intel it seems, by removing AMD based notebooks from the online shop and shifting them to retailers.

The XPS M1330 can now be preordered with Core 2 Duo T9500 Processor which is based on Penryn and its clock speed is 2.6Ghz and 6 MB Cache.The other specifications are intact, like 2GB RAM, Intel X3100 Onboard integrated graphics and 120 GB HDD.

The shift to Penryn based laptops will so take place among all OEM’s soon.Sony is all ready to ship their Penryn based laptops.Dell will soon follow the change to Penryn in their Inspiron range of notebooks.

The price of the Penryn based Notebook with Core 2 Duo T9500 CPU in above configuration is $1674 while the T8300 processor will cost you only $1274.You can decide whether you need $400 worth performance of Intel Penryn platform.

Sony VAIO notebooks are now available with Intel Penryn  based mobo and processors.Intel Penryn is based on 45 nm architecture.As of now 3 notebooks are available with Penryn based CPU’s as upgrade options.

For Sony VAIO FZ4 , CR4 and SZ series of notebooks , you can choose between T8100, T8300, T9300, and T9500 CPU’s which offers you better battery life and operating speed than the previous 65 nm CPU’s.

While Intel is busy unveiling their Silverthorne range of Low power processors designed mainly for UMPC’s in the ISSCC , they are also taking care of the High end Mobile platform processors.Intel is now getting ready to launch the X9000 Core 2 Extreme Edition Mobile Processor by this February end.

The Intel Core 2 Extreme Edition Processor is designed on the 45 nm architecture while the current fastest Extreme processor is based on 65 nm architecture.Intel is promising a certain performance increase than the baseline processor.Intel has optimised performance with HD related media on this processor by using Intel® HD Boost technology.

The X9000 is having a 6 MB shared L2 Cache and is running its FSB at 800 MHz.

According to a recent leak , Dell is planning to add some mighty machines in its Latitude family.The new to-be-announced members form the E series.

Details about two general laptops has been leaked out, one with a 14.1 inch display and other is 15.4 inched display with WXGA Resolution.As far as we know the E series will be using LED backlighting increasing those work hours you need.These will be supposedly having eSATA  ports, DisplayPort and ExpressCard slots for pushing in you add-ons.

Also two new members of the Road Warrior series are coming out, a 12.1 inch [in the pic ]and 13.3 inch displayed laptops.No details about the availability and price is available as of now.
