Honda and Chrysler is recalling thousands of potentially unsafe vehicles which are affected by brake problems.Chrysler issued a press statement about the matter and they mentioned the problem as potential braking problems while driving uphill, now that’s something we should worry about and some 300,000 vehicles are affected by this problem. While the Honda Motor Co issued a separate statement that they are recalling 180,000 Civics and they are having faulty Wheel bearing which might potentially make the vehicles wheel less while on road .

Chrysler is recalling 156,000 Jeep Grand Cherokees and Commander SUV’s produced during 2006-2007 .they are also recalling 50,000 Dodge Nitro SUV’s and 90,000 Jeep Wrangler SUV’s produced this year. They have received about 20 complaints by now and they are fixing the problem by reprogramming the ABS braking system.Talking about complaints , Honda received 2 of them about corrosion in the wheel bearing which is potentially dangerous , though no injuries have been caused till now.

WASHINGTON (AP) – Chrysler LLC said Friday it would recall nearly 300,000 sport utility vehicles to address potential braking problems while driving uphill.

In a separate move, Honda Motor Co. said it was recalling more than 180,000 Civics from the 2006-2007 model year to fix a wheel-bearing seal that could leak and lead to a wheel falling off the car.

The Chrysler recall involves more than 156,000 Jeep Grand Cherokees and Commander SUV’s from the 2006-2007 model years, more than 90,000 2007 Jeep Wrangler SUV’s and nearly 50,000 2007 Dodge Nitro SUV’s.

Chrysler spokesman Max Gates said the automaker had received about 20 complaints of vehicles experiencing a delay in braking when drivers tried to come to a stop after coasting uphill. To fix the problem, the computer connected to the antilock brake system will be reprogrammed.

There has been one crash tied to the issue and no injuries reported, Gates said. Owners will be notified by mail beginning later this month.

In Honda’s recall, the automaker said in an Aug. 30 letter to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that the seal where the antilock brake sensor mounts to the rear wheel bearing could allow moisture and salt to leak into the wheel bearing and cause corrosion.

The conditions could lead to a wheel falling off and a crash, Honda said.

The automaker has received two complaints related to the problem, including one in which a wheel came off the vehicle while it was being towed, said spokesman Chris Naughton. No injuries have been reported.

Owners were being notified of the recall this month and can contact Honda at (800) 999-1009 for more information.

Separately, Chrysler said it was recalling 72,333 Dodge Avenger sedans and Chrysler Sebring convertibles from the 2008 model year to address problems with the front door latches and locks.

Gates said the company discovered problems with opening the vehicle doors through its internal monitoring program. No accidents or injuries have been reported and owners are expected to be notified of the recall next month.

For more information, owners can contact Chrysler at (800) 853-1403.

With active power throttling, AGEIA claims that the [tag] Physx [/tag] 100M will deliver same peak throughput to that of the desktop counterparts , with power consumption as low as 10W during normal gaming conditions.

The popular gaming titles supporting the [tag] AGEIA [/tag] Physx for now are City of Villains, and Tom Clancy games like GRAW, and GRAW2.The Physx [tag]processor[/tag] s aren’t so popular among the gamers because of the lack of games supporting it & due to its price tag of $140.

Sun released the worlds fastest production multi-core chip.Codenamed Niagra II , the multi-core data churner is now known officially as UltraSPARC T2. The Niagra 2 is very similar to the Niagra having same number of cores. The cool features present in Niagra II gives it an interesting status.

The thread count has been increased to 64 and floating point unit for each core. The UltraSPARC T2 is clocked at 1.4 GHz.In addition to those 64 threads feature Sun has integrated an on-chip 10Gb NIC [tag]LAN[/tag] in it ,eight lanes of [tag]PCi Express[/tag] I/O and has four memory controllers.

[tag]Sun[/tag]’s UltraSPARC T2 isn’t really faster like they are claiming and there are many [tag]processor[/tag]s , some overclocked , giving much more performance than this. But the one important factor that Sun’s pointing out is UltraSPARC T2’s high power efficiency. They are claiming 2 watt / thread power usage
