Dell XPS and Inspiron Notebooks based on Intel Penryn Coming Up

Dell is updating their XPS series with the newest processor range from Intel ,Intel Penryn.The 45 nm processors will be available for customizations on the Dell site soon.Dell is moving towards Intel it seems, by removing AMD based notebooks from the online shop and shifting them to retailers.
The XPS M1330 can now be preordered with Core 2 Duo T9500 Processor which is based on Penryn and its clock speed is 2.6Ghz and 6 MB Cache.The other specifications are intact, like 2GB RAM, Intel X3100 Onboard integrated graphics and 120 GB HDD.
The shift to Penryn based laptops will so take place among all OEM’s soon.Sony is all ready to ship their Penryn based laptops.Dell will soon follow the change to Penryn in their Inspiron range of notebooks.
The price of the Penryn based Notebook with Core 2 Duo T9500 CPU in above configuration is $1674 while the T8300 processor will cost you only $1274.You can decide whether you need $400 worth performance of Intel Penryn platform.
