Motorola is the third largest cell phone maker but then since they are having losses for several financial quarters now, the executives in Motorola are considering the option of separating the Mobile Services division from other businesses under it.
Motorola claims that they are doing this in order to facilitate growth and profitability for each of its businesses and for increasing customer services.
“All of our businesses have exceptional people, products and intellectual property and the ability to achieve category leadership in their markets,” said Greg Brown, President and CEO of Motorola.
Motorola also told in the press statement that they are not intending to discuss the in-depth details about this until the Board of Directors approve the transactions.
