Samsung updates BD-UP5000 - The multi HD format player to play DTS-HD Audio

I must say that i’m a bit wary about this :? , and still I think its a wonderful news, especially for all those music lovers out there :mrgreen:.Samsung has reportedly updated the Firmware of their Multi Format high definition player, enabling it now to play DTS-HD Audio format.

The Samsung BD-UP5000 was able to, [ and still can, :P ] play HD DVD , Blu-Ray and some other audio formats.But now because of the reported Firmware upgrade , it can effectively decode DTS-HD audio which is a lossless compression audio format, Means pure sound :) .Also as a result of the update , the BD-UP5000 can now be used to output that 7.1 audio produced from Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD audio tracks to taken into analog systems.

So as of now , The Samsung BD-UP5000 can play almost [ we never know!] all of the HD audio formats.and Video with upscaling to 1080p @ 24 fps output.The price of BD-UP5000 is hovering a bit tad high now , at $1000.
